What Explee does

dolphin with young breaching

A customer types in their website. Agents take it from there: they work out who might need this product and why, dig up those companies and the right people in them, write to them, and keep the thread going until a call shows up on the calendar.

Support here is not a cost center with a phone queue. it is an AI system with a human tail, and the tail is what this role is about.

AI company, with receipts

every startup page says AI somewhere now, so numbers instead:

  • 7 people full-time, all AI-pilled. 51 Claude Max subscriptions between the 7 of us (long story).
  • 100% of the code is written by AI. a chunk of it ships fully autonomously, nobody even looked.
  • Agents run the ad buying, the backlog, user interviews, design, A/B tests, support, and hiring. this page was built by one.
  • 110 to 120 tasks shipped a week. we counted twice.

The numbers

594
support conversations last week; 32 nine weeks ago
~70%
already resolved by AI end to end, behind quality gates
95-97%
where you take it
32%
of revenue comes from the 18% of customers who ask for a human
~8h
median wait for a human reply today. yes, that is the fire
0
support hires planned instead of automation. you can add one if it truly burns

The job

Yes, this is two jobs at once.

  • 1Answer the hard 30% yourself: the escalations the AI hands over, real customers, real money on the line. a few hours a day at first. you are not alone in it: an agent researches and drafts a reply for most escalations before you even open them, and one part-time teammate answers alongside you.
  • 2Automate that 30% away: extend the bot, close the knowledge-base gaps, widen what it is allowed to answer. the quality bar stays where it is: when the bot is not sure, it escalates instead of guessing.
  • 3Get it to 95-97% resolved without a human. you do the engineering yourself, by directing agents. there are no developers waiting for your specs. you can hire one person if the load truly demands it, but scaling by headcount is exactly what we are not doing.

Who fits

two dolphins ahead of a bow

A product engineer who has done support. a strong QA. a support lead who ships code. the title matters less than two things: you can build, and you do not look down on tickets or the people who write them.

You see a queue of repeated questions as a list of automations nobody shipped yet. and you know a bot answering 97% of support is only good news if you can prove it answers correctly, so measuring quality excites you as much as shipping.

We have plenty to teach you about agentic engineering, and we expect to learn from you too.

What we offer

  • $6,000 - $8,000 / month. contract to start, full-time once it's a fit on both sides. start as soon as you can.
  • Anywhere works, we lean toward CET hours for overlap.
  • The whole domain is yours: the bot, the knowledge base, the SLA, the quality bar. no approval chains.
  • Yani, our in-house AI agent, runs your onboarding. she holds the full context of the support system, and she drafts half its replies already.

How to join

Four steps. takes about a week if nobody sits on their hands.

  • 1Apply below. tell us about support you have actually automated, or quality you have actually measured. we want the how, not just that you did it: numbers before and after, and what broke on the way.
  • 2A 20 minute call with Gleb, who built the support automation you are inheriting. no recruiter screen, we don't have one.
  • 3A paid test project. a couple of hours, real money, a problem we actually have.
  • 4A final conversation with Alex, the CEO, and a decision.
